Bijela Shipyard

The Bijela Shipyard, established in 1927, is located in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro, and represents one of the world’s safest natural harbors. Historically, it was the largest ship repair facility in the Southern Adriatic.

Investors

In recent years, the shipyard has undergone a significant transformation. The Government of Montenegro granted a 30-year concession to Adriatic42, a joint venture between PM Holdings LLC, the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), and Drydocks World Dubai. This partnership aims to redevelop the site into a premier superyacht refit and maintenance facility.

Redevelopment

The redevelopment includes a comprehensive redesign and the installation of the largest floating dock in the Adriatic, marking a new era for the facility. Adriatic42 is now operational, offering full-service superyacht refit and maintenance services, provided by experienced yachting professionals.

MBT Concept role in the project

MBT Concept was hired to provide technical due diligence of Bijela Shipyard, which includes managing the process of preparation of RFP, procurement, and contracting all services, controlling the execution, and commenting on the reports. Additionally, MBT contributed to the preparation of the Master Programme for the development of new facilities for the maintenance and refurbishment of mega yachts.
